Refueling vehicles
Refuel before travelling
Fuel consumption and the fuel gauge are enabled. Read the gauge while driving and top up before a long journey. No fuel means no normal powered acceleration or lift.
/whips fuel opens the fuel shop when available. Inspect the displayed item and price before purchasing. The fuel item needs to match a supported fuel entry; an anvil-renamed imitation is not equivalent.
Sneak-left-click your vehicle to open its service inventory when supported. Use the fuel and storage slots shown there. The allowed fuels and their values can differ; do not assume any item that burns in a furnace works here. Start with a small amount and check that the gauge changes.
Accepted fuels
The Whips fuel list includes the following values, measured in fuel units rather than seconds of travel:
| Fuel | Units per item |
|---|---|
| Coal or charcoal | 2 |
| Coal block | 18 |
| Lava bucket | 5 |
| Matching custom Fuel Can | 20 |
| Oak, spruce, birch, jungle, acacia, or dark oak logs | 4 |
| Planks or buttons of those six woods | 1 |
| Wooden tools, doors, pressure plates, stairs, slabs, or fence gates listed in the fuel menu | 2 |
Use the current fuel menu for the full list. Different models consume fuel at different rates, so these values do not promise a fixed travel distance.
A quick refueling check
Stop and dismount before opening the service screen. Keep the vehicle on safe ground, move the intended fuel into the indicated fuel slot, and check the resulting amount before leaving. Item names alone do not prove an item has the fuel data the system expects.
If a fuel item is rejected, preserve it and note its source and description. Do not feed increasingly valuable items into a slot to guess what works. The shop's current offer and the service interface are the reference for supported fuel.
