Choosing PvP

Check your status

Use /pvp to check your state and /pvp on or /pvp off to choose it. PvP defaults to on, and joining does not automatically turn it off. You can change your toggle without a cooldown.

A personal combat preference works alongside world and region rules. An arena can have its own rules, and an area can prohibit combat regardless of your toggle.

The personal toggle is disabled in minigames. Regions can force PvP on or off; read the notification when entering an area. A land claim does not itself grant player-combat immunity.

Arrange a fight

Agree with the other player before fighting and decide where the fight will happen. Keep spectators, builds, pets, and vehicle traffic out of the area. Do not use a toggle as a reason to harass someone or test damage on them without agreement.

Limits of a toggle

Combat settings are not general invulnerability. Environmental hazards, falling, mobs, and feature-specific damage can still matter. A toggle can also have a cooldown or restrictions while you are in an activity.

Read the rules and follow event instructions. If an interaction damages someone unexpectedly, stop testing it on players and report the location, combat state, and exact action.
