Moving pets and passengers

Before teleporting

Mount and pet travel can keep companions with you through supported teleports. Start in an open area and leave enough room at the destination for the whole group. Check the animal is actually following, mounted, or attached as intended before leaving.

After travelling, count your animals and passengers immediately. World restrictions, ownership, seating, and unsafe destinations can prevent part of a group from moving. If someone is missing, check the starting point before repeating the trip.

Leads and linked mobs

Leads can work with more entity types than vanilla Minecraft. To link mobs together, use the supported sneak-right-click interaction with your lead. Allowed entity types and protected areas still apply.

Player leashing is enabled; a leashed player can crouch to escape. Players riding an entity cannot be leashed. Agree with the other player before moving them, and release them when asked. A lead is not permission to take animals from someone else's base.

Safer transport

Travel short distances with one animal first. For valuable villagers or pets, check the destination enclosure before bringing more. Do not stand at a cliff edge or inside a cramped portal exit.

A custom vehicle has its own ownership, seating, and world rules. Do not assume pet teleport behavior also transports a parked vehicle.
